Thursday, January 12, 2012
By New Streetlights staff
After issuing a Request for Bids for the installation of 760 LED streetlight fixtures in December, the city of Richmond, California, has extended the due date for proposals for the project, which has an estimated value of $1.226 million.
The bid opening date has been postponed to January 13, 2012, at 1:30 p.m.
The project involves both the removal of existing high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights and the installation of approximately 760 LED streetlight luminaires on the city’s roadways. A total of 750 LED cobrahead fixtures and 10 decorative LED fixtures will be installed.
Two addenda have been issued since the release of the bid document. Included in the changes are the postponement of the bid opening and an extension to the deadline to post and respond to email questions.
