Twelve Iowa municipalities awarded $1.2 million in EECBG funds for LED and energy efficient streetlight projects

Twelve municipalities in Iowa have been awarded approximately $1.2 million in federal stimulus funds to be used for LED streetlight and energy efficient streetlight projects. Administered by the Iowa Office of Energy Independence, the stimulus funds are non-entitlement Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) from the US Department of Energy.
The twelve municipalities and the award amounts for LED streetlight or energy efficient streetlight programs are listed below.
