Initiative Install approximately 6,811 LED streetlights to replace existing energy inefficient streetlights across twenty member communities of the Indiana Municipal Power Agency (IMPA)
Funding sources Department of Energy – Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant
Funding allocated $5 million. Second RFP issued for 503 decorative LED Streetlight fixtures on 2/4/2011.
Long term goals Reinvest 50% of energy savings into additional energy efficient projects at the local level
