Replace approximately 1,847 city-owned high pressure

sodium and mercury vapor streetlights with LED streetlights

Pilot

City tested and pre-qualified LED streetlight fixtures including

those manufactured by LED Illumination, Duralight and

Excellence Opto. Waco has already replaced traffic signals

with LED technology.

Anticipate up to 50% reduction in energy consumption based

on manufacturer data
