The state of Wisconsin still awaits its stimulus funding from the US Department of Energy, but officials indicate that between $2 million and $4 million will be used for LED streetlight projects.
The maximum grant request for cities and counties is $225,000, and only 3% of the award can be used for grant administration.
Officials at the Wisconsin Office of Energy Independence have not indicated when the funds will be disbursed. According to Brian Driscoll of the Office of Energy Independence, “Applications are currently awaiting scoring and approval.”
The funds will be distributed after each application has been reviewed and approved.
