Cities of Fairbanks and North Pole issue invitation to bid on $2.5 million to $5 million LED streetlight conversion

Fairbanks, Alaska, has issued an invitation to bid on an LED streetlight conversion program. Sealed bids for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment will be accepted until November 10, 2009.

 

The project involves upgrading existing streetlight load centers and conversion of high pressure sodium streetlights to LED streetlights within the cities of Fairbanks and North Pole.

 

Officials estimate that the size of the program is between $2.5 million and $5 million. Project completion date is July 31, 2010.

 

Bidding documents may be inspected in person at Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities offices in Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Juneau. Bidding documents can be ordered from the DOT&PF for $100 per set.
