The city of Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, has issued a Request for Information and Qualifications (RFI/RFQ) for a supplier of LED streetlights as well as support services for future projects and installations. The city plans an initial purchase of a small quantity of LED streetlights for a pilot project.
The RFI/RFQ seeks proposals to establish a list of suppliers for streetlighting projects throughout the city of Coquitlam. Projects include new installations of poles and fixtures as well as retrofits of existing streetlight fixtures. City officials plan to establish a list of approved LED streetlight fixtures for future lighting projects. Following evaluation of the pilot project, the city will establish a plan for the installation and replacement of the city’s streetlights. Fixtures targeted for replacement are 150 watt and 250 watt high pressure sodium (HPS) cobrahead luminaires and 100 watt and 150 watt HPS post top luminaires. Bidders are requested to submit one LED fixture for evaluation.
Photometric specifications include a correlated color temperature (CCT) of ≤ 5,000 Kelvin and a color rendering index (CRI) of 60. Bidders must also supply LM-79 and LM-80 reports for each submitted fixture.
Completed proposals must be received by Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the city of Coquitlam. Requests for clarification must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by May 12, 2012. The complete bid document can be found here.
