The city of Delta Junction, Alaska, seeks bids for energy efficient lighting which includes area as well as roadway lighting. The city is the recipient of a Small Cities Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) which is locally administered by the Alaska Energy Authority. EECBG awards are funded by the US Department of Energy. Delta Junction received $52,800 in EECBG funds.
The proposed project requires the removal and replacement of existing streetlights with LED fixtures. According to the bid document, only Beta LEDway luminaires will be considered. For the streetlighting component of the bid, eight Beta LEDway STR LWY 3M HT 12 D UL SV and two STR LWY 3M HT 12 D UL SV P 120V fixtures are specified.
Completed bids must be submitted by November 21, 2011, to the Delta Junction City Hall. Bids must be accompanied by a current Alaska contractor license, business license and certificate of insurance. The project completion date is on or before May 31, 2012. Bid documentation is available here.
