An Invitation to Bid (ITB) was issued by the city of Healdsburg, California, for the purchase of LED streetlight luminaires to replace existing high pressure sodium vapor streetlights. The city previously installed LED streetlights as part of a consortium purchase with neighboring cities Biggs, Ukiah, and Gridley. The downtown and business corridors are predominantly illuminated by antique-style post top luminaires. The currently proposed project would replace the existing lamps with solid-state LED luminaires.
The proposed project includes the procurement of 133 LED streetlight luminaires manufactured by Holophane Lighting of Granville, Ohio. The LED luminaire specified in the bid document is the Holophane Washington Postlite which is similar in appearance to the city’s existing streetlight. The Washington Postlite luminaire allows municipalities to keep their installed poles and reuse existing housing and acrylic optics. Alternate bids for equivalent LED streetlight luminaires will not be accepted.
A local vendor preference of 5% is being extended to bidders whose place of business is located within the city limits of the city of Healdsburg.
Complete bids must be submitted to the city of Healdsburg by Monday, November 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Specifications may be obtained at the office of the Electric Department of the City of Healdsburg, 435 Allen Court, Healdsburg, California 95448. The ITB bid document can be found here.
