The town of Lancaster, New York, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the purchase and installation of LED streetlight fixtures. The project is scheduled to replace all of the existing streetlight fixtures in Westwood Park. The area’s existing streetlight fixtures are 400 watt metal halide fixtures. The total number of LED streetlights planned for this installation is 29.
According to the bid document, the scope of work includes removal of all existing fixtures in Westwood Park and installation of the new LED fixtures to existing poles. The LED fixture specified in the bid document is manufactured by BetaLED/Cree of Racine, Wisconsin. Bidders may also submit bids for approved equivalent fixtures. Photometric requirements include a color rendering index of >70, and a correlated color temperature of 4,300K. All products submitted must meet Made in America requirements. Also, submitted LED fixtures must be eligible for the NYSEG/RG&E rebate program.
Complete bids must be submitted to the town of Lancaster by Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. The Lancaster Town Board will make final determination of bids and will also assess approved equivalent fixtures. Complete bid documents can be obtained from WM Schutt Associates, Lancaster, New York.
