The city of Lehi, Utah, is seeking bids in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a pilot project to evaluate the use of LED streetlights in future streetlight installations. The city will assess the performance of cobrahead, acron, and town and country-style LED streetlights. The pilot project entails the purchase and installation of nearly sixty LED streetlights distributed among the three styles.
According to the bid document, bidders are asked to submit bids for thirty 100 watt equivalent acorn-style LED streetlights, sixteen 250 watt equivalent cobrahead-style LED streetlights, and up to twelve 100 watt equivalent town and country-style LED streetlights. The bid specifies manufacturers as Antique Street Lamps (Acuity Brands Lighting), Cooper Lighting, GE Lighting, and American Electric Lighting (Acuity Brands Lighting).
The acorn fixtures will be installed on Executive Parkway between Club House Drive and Ashton Boulevard; the cobrahead fixtures will be installed on 850 East between State Street and Main street; the town and country fixtures will be installed on 1850 North, 1800 North, and 1700 North between 500 West and 340 West.
