The Municipal Solid-State Street Lighting Consortium (MSSLC), a US Department of Energy sponsored program, is seeking feedback from LED streetlighting professionals on its draft of specifications for adaptive control and remote monitoring of roadway luminaires.
According to the MSSLC, the goal of the document, “Model Specification for Adaptive Control and Remote Monitoring of LED Roadway Luminaires,” is to serve as a template for translating user needs into clear and consistent language. Once the final document is issued, the intention is to provide periodic updates to meet user needs and address marketplace developments. The final version is expected to be posted to the MSSLC website by Summer 2013.
In order to maximize participation from lighting professionals, the MSSLC has extended the deadline for public comment to October 26, 2012. The draft specifications can be found here. All responses and comments should be submitted to email@example.com.
