The US Department of Energy is hosting the 11th Annual Solid-State R&D Workshop on January 28-30, 2014 in Tampa, Florida.
This year’s workshop will focus on issues such as creating value with intelligent and effective design, the adoption of LED lighting applications, and solid-state lighting science challenges. Included in these topics will be discussions related to LED streetlights.
Featured speakers include Brian Chemel of Digital Lumens, Brad Koerner of Philips Lighting, Yoshi Ohno of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Steven Blackman of Blackjack Lighting, and Steve Paolini of Next Lighting. The workshop will consist of plenary sessions, track sessions, and a reception and poster sessions.
The format of these workshops is to encourage shared ideas and open discussions related to solid-state LED lighting.
